About Baltic Amber

My dearest friends, what do you think or know about Baltic amber❓Do you consider it a precious stone, only for jewelry, or do you also use amber in cosmetics or for medicinal purposes❓

I love all sorts of jewelry with various precious stones, but Baltic amber is a number one for me. I am absolutely in love and crazy about amber rings, pendants, nuggets or bracelets.

Did you know that amber has many other names, for example from English language amber, or sperm whale, because it was believed that it was a secretion of the sperm whale called amber. Jantar in Slavic, amulet, or sea resin, and the Polish name amber comes from German; meaning the stone that burns. There are various suggestions and theories as to how this precious stone came to experience it its present form.

About 45 million years ago or more, there were many forests on the present Baltic Sea seashore region that gave off resins (tree-sap), a yellow sticky liquid that heals a tree when a tree is injured. Such resin got to the sea and after million of years it hardened and became amber as we know it. Then a glacier pushed it to its final destination with its highest treasure decks in Poland 🇵🇱

Sometime there are insects 🕷  water 💧 drops or small plants trapped whit it was still in its liquid sticky form before it hardened.

Wow and now having such a jewel around the neck with such prehistoric specimens and energy, it is totally surreal.

Even though it contains many micro elements, succinic acid and other healing properties amber is still a greatest mystery for scientists. Yet in my humble opinion if the resin that healed tree wounds in the past, why should it not serve today as a miracle fossil for healing wounds in all living creatures.

Baltic amber is also a stone that keeps my energy balanced, and it mainly reduces my anxiety and unwanted emotional storms.

I could still write and write forever about this amazing jewel 💎 but I believe I made an ideal introduction to my Facebook Live with Baltic Amber and sterling silver jewelry handcrafted in Poland 🇵🇱
